How Aroma Shore collects, uses, and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Aroma Shore (“Aroma Shore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit our websites, place an order, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Contact & account information — name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and account login credentials.
  • Order & transaction information — products purchased, order history, and the information needed to fulfill and support your orders. Payment card details are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our own servers.
  • Communications & marketing preferences — newsletter sign-ups, SMS/text opt-ins, fragrance-quiz responses, customer-service messages, and product reviews or other content you submit.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Device & usage data — IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — cookies, pixels, tags, and local storage used to operate the site, remember your cart and preferences, measure performance, and support analytics and advertising (see Section 4).
  • Visitor analytics — we log visits (including IP, device, referral source, and pages viewed) to understand traffic, attribute marketing sources, recover abandoned carts, and improve the Services.

Information from third parties: we may receive information from payment processors, shipping carriers, advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta and Google), and fraud-prevention services, which we combine with information we already hold.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process, fulfill, ship, and support your orders, and manage returns, refunds, and warranty or safety matters.
  • Create and maintain your account and loyalty/rewards activity.
  • Provide customer service and respond to your inquiries.
  • Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, payment and account notices).
  • Send marketing communications, newsletters, promotions, abandoned-cart reminders, and discount codes — subject to your consent where required and your right to opt out at any time.
  • Personalize your experience and recommend products.
  • Measure and improve the Services, conduct analytics, and understand marketing performance and attribution.
  • Deliver and measure advertising, including on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.

3. Marketing Emails and SMS/Text Messages

If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails and/or SMS text messages about products, offers, and updates. By providing your phone number and opting in to text messages, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and transactional texts from us at that number; consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP (and may reply HELP for help), and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email or by replying as instructed. We will still send non-marketing transactional messages related to your orders and account.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, analyze usage, and deliver and measure advertising. This includes the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (which may send hashed event data, such as a purchase or page view, to Meta to measure and improve ads) and Google analytics and advertising tools. These partners may set their own cookies and identifiers and use them to show you ads on their platforms and elsewhere. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools (such as the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative), and control ad personalization within your Meta and Google account settings. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control).

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers / processors who perform services on our behalf under contract, including: payment processing (Stripe); shipping and label generation (USPS, UPS, FedEx); email delivery (Microsoft / Microsoft Graph); SMS and voice (SignalWire); hosting, analytics, customer-support, and fraud-prevention vendors.
  • Advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta and Google) as described in Section 4. Depending on your jurisdiction, certain advertising-related data sharing may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable law, and you may opt out (see Section 7).
  • Marketplaces and sales channels you direct us to, or that are necessary to fulfill an order placed through them.
  • Legal and safety — to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our agreements; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aroma Shore, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely store it.

7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access or receive a copy of your personal information; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; opt out of targeted advertising, the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, or certain profiling; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

  • California (CCPA/CPRA) and other U.S. state residents: you may exercise the rights above, including the right to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information and to limit certain uses. You may submit a request using the contact details in Section 12.
  • EU/EEA/UK residents (where applicable): you may have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

You can also: unsubscribe from marketing email via the link in any message; opt out of texts by replying STOP; and manage cookies and ad personalization as described in Section 4. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, and authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf where permitted by law.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of sensitive credentials and reliance on PCI-compliant payment processors for card data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services (including social media, advertising platforms, and payment providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. International Users

We are based in the United States, and your information will be processed and stored in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated “Last updated” date, and changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
